Birthday Time!!!!

Happy birthday Brad!!!!!
Brad turned 23 on Monday. I had to work the night before so I couldnt do everything I wanted but, it still turned out to be a great day. I bought Brad a sound system, a game, Which he was so excited for. Brad also wanted a pool... WHOOWOOO, now thats something I can get excited about. I got off work at 730am, I ran by McDonalds on the way home (Which is one of Brad's FAVORITE breakfast places). We ate breakfast together and I gave Brad his gifts. Their was no way for me to wrap the pool since it was impossible for me to even lift... it weighed 180lbs, I gave Brad the pool treatments to keep it sanitized. He looked at for a min, and than had to read the label before he understood that he got a pool. Brad spent the morning setting up the pool while I slept :( I woke up at 1pm, we had a BBQ, watched a movie, and ate some cookie bars. It took the pool 10hrs to fill up. Meanwhile Brad was giving Diesel swim lessons. It was a wonderful day and I cant wait for next year.

BOY OR GIRL?!

Brad and I are prego! I grabbed a pregnancy test on my way home from the hospital, I thought their was like a 20% chance I was pregnant but I was pretty sure that for some odd reason I was late, NOT pregnant. All three of the test I took were positive, I wasn't sure whether to cry or scream out of excitement. Instead I decided that all THREE test were wrong that I wasnt pregnant. I wanted to tell Brad, but he was at work and I didnt want to do it over the phone or in a text. Later, Brad called and asked me to meet him and some of our friends at Jamba Juice! As Brad and I were sitting by ourselves for a second he asked if I had started my period, I said, "No". He looked at me for a second and said, "Are you pregnant"?..... I said, "Yes" and started to cry. Brad was so giddy he couldnt stop smiling, he said, " Im more excited than I ever thought I would be". I was still in shock and scared of being pregnant with all the changes that are happening in our lives right now. Brad wanted to tell the whole world, but I made him promise not to say a word. I was still not convinced I was pregnant so on the way home we picked up two more test. They were also positive. Our plan was not tell tell anyone until about 12 weeks in case I were to have a miscarriage. I went to work the following day and I was looking over some information on a patient I was getting and noticed that the patient had a history of shingles. I asked Tiffany, (who had some intuition going on) if shingles was like MRSA, that if you have ever had it than you would ALWAYS be on contact precautions. Tiff said, " No, you just can't take care of them if youre pregnant. You're not pregnant are you"? Lol all I could do was say, "Yes". Tiffany quickly made arrangements for me and Traci (who was at the opposite end of the table) to switch patients, but she also had to ask Traci if she is pregnant. It was pretty simple for everyone in the room to realize that Traci and I were switching because I was pregnant. I just smiled and said, "SURPRISE". It turned out to be a good thing, I was able to ask two other pregnant girls on my unit questions about their pregnancies. The only reason that I didnt want a baby right now is because I will be living in TX for a month by myself and if I were to get sick I wouldnt have Brad with me. Now, Im so exited I can hardly stand it. I keep thinking about how I wanna do the baby room, and if it will be a boy or a girl, what we will name it, what he/she will look like. It seems unreal to me, I think once I start to show, or feel the baby kick it will feel more real. For now, I will just dream about this amazing little baby that is about to enter our lives! We feel so blessed!

Brad and I flew into Texas for spring break. We wanted to check out Baylor Univ., look at the hospitals in the area and do some house hunting. Our trip was quick but we accomplished so much. We both loved Baylor Univ, we had the opportunity to sit in on a class. We were both impressed with professor Bates, (I think that was his name). The following day I had a job interview and I got the job! After the job interview we met with Cathy our real estate agent who we had been communicating with for the last few month. We spent the WHOLE day looking at houses. It seemed like FOREVER. Towards the end I was starting to confuse some of houses features with other houses. The following day I had another interview with Hillcrest hospital.... I GOT THE JOB! We finished looking at some more houses and we found a house we wanted to call HOME! It was beautiful with 3 rooms, 2 full bathrooms. We found out the house already had 2 offers on it, I was SO nervous. We put in a strong offer and played the waiting game. Just before before getting on our flight home we got a phone call from Cathy saying, "CONGRATULATIONS". We have signed papers and hoping to close April 30th. I start my job in 2 weeks, which is good and bad. Brad and I will have to live apart for a month. WHICH KILLS ME. Brad will come on the weekends to visit and hopefully it will go by fast. I have to be there early so I can have a pay stub for 15days to prove we have the money to buy a house. As much as I am excited for the challenge of a new job, Im also extremely sad to be leaving my current job. I work with some of the best people. Everyone is so helpful and fun to work with, we are always laughing and just getting through each day together. I would recommend working at Logan Regional to anyone!

Brad and I celebrated our first year anniversary in Vegas. We had a blast! We stayed at the Trump, ate lots of yummy food, became CSI investigators, went to some shows, lots of shopping, some games, saw a fashion show and went the wax museum. This was the perfect little anniversary weekend. I was really looking forward to some warm weather in Vegas...... but instead it rained the whole time. We cant wait to go back again!

Brad had to work on New Years. The good thing was that they were throwing a party with lots of yummy food, dancing, live band and a magician! Can you say party! Since Brad is a manager after some of the main parts were done we got to hang out. We had a great time.

Not all of this happened in 2009, but they were big to me!

2. Was accepted in the Huntsman program and toured Europe

3. Brad started flying to AZ to visit me, which led to our engagement

4. Graduated from Nursing school

5. We were married in Mesa AZ Temple

6. Moved to Utah

8. Started working at Logan Regional Hopsital on the Medical floor

9. Bought my first car 2009 Mazda 3

10. Brad finished another semester

11. We went to Jamaica for a week

12. O and Brad became a manager at the Marriott

13. Saw my 3rd brother Ethan off on a mission

14. Brad has applied to Law School and has been accepted to all the Law Schools so far that he has applied to

15. Ive started orienting to ICU and Im excited to improve my nursing skills

We cannot wait for 2010 to really kick in and see where we are by next year and all the opportunities that open up!

This year we headed up to Sun Valley ID for Christmas. It was actually supposed to be with my family this year, but I only had a couple days off and we were worried about flights. Luckily Brad's side of the family was within driving distance. We went snowboarding, played snow football, snow baseball, went snow shoeing and played lots of games. We loved it

Christmas came early this year. I really wanted a treadmill for Christmas, I love of working out at home. Brad wanted the new IPOD touch. I got my gift early because their wasn't a real good hiding place for a treadmill. I have the hardest time buying gifts and not giving them to the person right away. It kills me to hold on to it. I also have to work Christmas eve, so Ill work 7pm to 7am and than we will head straight to Sun valley ID. Sun valley was my third justification of why we should do Christmas early. We still have a few little gifts for Christmas! I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful season. I love the peace that comes with this time of year. I love this time of reflection of the Saviors life and all that he brought. I love setting goals for the new year and all the adventures to come.

5 Month countdown!

Today while talking with my Mom we were discussing how Eli is coming home in 5 months. I can count that on one hand. Geez I miss him. I miss his jokes. I miss his pranks. I miss his advice. I miss him visiting me. I miss listening to music with him. I miss talking with him. I miss having him live around the corner from me ( at school). I miss him fixing all my computer problems. I miss our ice cream runs when we couldnt fall asleep. I miss just laughing with him about every day life. I even miss shopping with him (he is always honest). Eli is the type of guy that if you are in a hurry you dont want to run an errand with him. He is friends with EVERYONE, strangers in line quickly come to admire him. He is one of the best brothers you ever have. In 5 months we plan on going to Alabama to pick him up. It makes me to tear up just thinking about seeing him so soon. I secretly hope that he wants to stay with Brad and I while he figures out school.

SUN VALLEY IDAHO

Right after Christmans i headed up to Sun Valley Idaho to spend time with Brad and his Family. Coming from Arizona i was shocked by all the snow that surrounded us. We had so much fun though. Every day everyone gets together from all the cabins to play football or soccer at 2pm. Pretty much anything goes including de-pantings! Snow shoeing is another big thing, although you have to be in shape to be the leader... i learned that the hard way. I had a great time and really got to know a lot of the extended family and loved the snow!

This weekend was lots of fun. Brad and I had Jenn and Avery over for some pizza and pumpkin carving. We had planned on going camping but the weather was freezing. Sunday we went to Jenn's parents house. They are dairy farmers in Fielding. We got a tour of how their farm works. We had a blast, but I had to work at 3pm so our little trip had to end on the sooner.Thanks again guys!

So we all got together one last time before we said goodbye to Ethan. Of course camping is a huge thing in our family, so we packed up and headed to Navajo Lake in NM. Brad and I had quite the adventure on our way to NM. Once we got to Navajo Lake we went wake boarding, played games, went into Durango for some BBQ, enjoyed Mom's dutch over cooking, played in the water, and mostly just had a great time with the Fam!

So Brad works nights, and being the manager means he never lucky enough to get off early. When he works nights I spend most of my time watching chick flicks with popcorn, and raspberry lemonade! Brad is the most well rounded person I have ever know. He is tough when the time calls, respectual to everyone, treats me like a queen, hilarious and the most fun person to be around, motivated in school, adores his family, adventerious, loves the Lord, loves kids and he is the best hubsand a girl could ask for. Brad and I left on a redeye flight this last week to Jamaica. It seemed to like it came and went before we knew it. Luckily we have a few photos to remind us that we really went. The flight to Jamaica felt a lot longer than it really was. We left at 1250am and finally made it around 10am. We enjoyed snorkeling, swimming, sailing, river tubing, shopping in the city, crazy taxi cab drivers, lots of entertainment at night, walks on the beach, rope jumping into the river, one too many smoothies and of course some laying out. Needless to say we had the time of our lives!

College was one of the best times of my life. I made some of best firends a girl could ever ask for. Since college, a lot has changed. All of us have moved to different places and hardly have a chance to get back together. Terra is in flagstaff, Emma in Thatcher, Kiara in SLC....... Their was a few more girls that couldn't make it. But we planned a quick little reunion here in logan, and of course we hit the pool first. The pool is where we spent a lot of time in AZ, a hot summery day meant a cold drink next to the pool. We would always bring music, layout, otter pops, lots of swimming, diving and anything we could think of. Cookie dough was always a popular one with us girls. We NEVER cooked it, just passed the cookie dough in a circle and took a bite off. I have so many memories with these girls and I can't wait for the ones to come!

Brad and I took the day off to go fishing! As soon as we got off work the night before we ran to wal-mart to get all the supplies! Chairs, fishing poles, lures, s'mores, and soda! We had so much fun, it was pretty cloudy so we are already planning a trip to return!

Brad and I finally got a day off together and we decided to go to Lagoon, Ive been anxiously waiting to go to a theme park! We even got Justen and Cory to come with us. I had to work the night before and didn't get off until 4am but that was not stopping either of us. Brad, being the loving husband that he is waits up for me on the night he doesn't have to work the following morning.... However, I got him and XBOX for his birthday a few weeks ago so i believe he is just having an affair with it until I get home. We woke up at nine threw on some shorts and headed out the door. We both tend to be oinkers so we stopped at sonic on the way! They day way great, because it was cloudy the park was hardly busy. We took advantage of getting on all the rides within minutes! Brad and I decided we were getting close to our deadline of planting a garden. We made it simple on ourselves and bought plants that were already growing and then made it even easier on ourselves and just put them in bigger pots. We had a great time planting our 1st garden! Brad even stole some soil from our neighbors to help plant our last veggies. In the middle of planting it started hailing, Brad quickly pulled our new plants into shelter and said, "These plants our lucky to have me". He just made me laugh! We had lots of fun, and even had a little BBQ after.

Brad and I had the chance to go to Colorado and visit family. We were both so excited, we had plans to fly out the following morning to meet up with everyone. I had to work from 7am-7pm, I planned on coming home and packing that night so we could leave in the morning. When I got home my amazing husband already had dinner ready, with some bad news. Brad said the flights did not look good and we should probably drive. We left an hour later to hit the road. We thought we were looking at about 8hours...... We learned that would only be a dream. The roads became terrible and before we knew it the highway we needed was closed, but we were only 4 hours into the drive. We decided to try and take back roads. Well 15hours later we finally made it. We were both exhausted! Brad had to drive most the way, I HAD no experience driving in the snow but by the end of the trip I did. While were were there we bought a 2009 Mazda3! I very nervous to sign papers but we are both so happy we did, we love our new car!!

The weekend in Tooele

Brad and I went to Tooele for the weekend to see Cory, Justin, Addison and Cade. That night was a 70's party! Brad and I had some last minute outfits, but Cory showed all of us how it was done. The next night Cory and Justin went out and we got to watch the kids. We took them to McDonalds for dinner. Addison LOVED it, we were there for a couple hours just playing. Brad chased Addison up and down the playland the whole time. On the way out the door I filled up my dt. coke. I didn't twice when Addison wanted it, I thought it was cute and I was proud of her for choosing dt. coke. I didn't even think about the caffeine that was in it. BIG MISTAKE. I realized we were in TROUBLE when she had to pee 5 times in one hour. We tried to put her down a few times but she would just cry, talk to herself or sing for hours at a time. She was hilarious when we would bring her upstairs, she was all giggles and telling us she wasn't tired. We were saved when Cory and Justin came home! They just laughed at us and we were happy we were off the hook!

CONFERENCE

I had the chance to go to Conference.... but without Brad:( Brad has a LSAT program that takes up his saturdays right now. We had two tickets so I asked Emma to be my date. It was freezing and we were so happy we made it in. Cory is the best and sent me with some candy, which was a life saver. It was amazing to be able to attend, I love the spirit that is in the conference center and I love hearing so many saints sing together. I was excited for the first time to be in the same room as President Monson.

We decided to go shooting one morning for fun. We ran into some people who had a puppy and a lot more guns. We had so much fun riding the 4-wheeler and shooting. Brad is much better than me for now, but soon ill beat him.

So we had our first camping trip in Utah and married. Brad even hooked up a heating pad to keep me warm. We had so much fun and I think we can try camping for real next!

Feburary 7th, in the Mesa Arizona Temple I was married to my best friend for eternity!

Brad is originally from Colorado Springs. He comes from a family of four, he is the youngest of the bunch. Brad is also the only boy, with three beautiful sisters. Brad is going to Utah State University and plans to graduate in a year. Im from Rio Rancho, New Mexico and come from a family of 7. I have four brother and 2 sisters. I fall right in the middle and im the youngest girl. I went to Eastern Arizona College and graduated in nursing. Brad and I now live in Richmond Utah. We are very spoiled, we are "house sitting" his dad's house while brad is in school.

I was planning on Brad coming down on Friday, i thought i had everything covered. I was swapped with projects for nursing and assignments that week and it looked like a tornado went through my room. I decided to get off work a little early and go clean my room and take care of the of the HUGE pile of clothes. On my way home i saw my little brother Ethan ahead of me in his truck, i honked my horn to get his attention. He started spazing out trying to call me on my cell, which i left at home. I just followed him to his house. He kept bring up the weirdest topics, and every time i told him I was going to head home and clean some stuff up, he would ask me another question. Finally, I told time i had to run but to come over later. I got home and everyone was in the front of our house... I headed to my room to grab come nursing videos...I opened my door to candles and flowers everywhere. The candles spelled out.. "I LOVE YOU" and "MARRY ME". I was startled and nervous. Brad was playing one of our favorite songs as he asked me to dance. I was so nervous i just kept backing up until i had no where to go. We danced and when the song ended Brad got on one knee and asked me to Marry him! Later he told me his plane was late, he could not figure out where my brother parked the car for him to use. Ethan went to get a lighter to speed up the process when i honked my horn at him. He was planning on having a trail of candles from our drive-way to my room. My room was almost lit on fire while everyone pitched in to light all the candles. I loved it

Brad traveled almost every weekend to either Arizona or New Mexico depending where i was. It was always worth the drive to go pick up my best friend and Brad was always planning his next trip to come down. Somehow we still managed to stay on top of school and our jobs with everything between. Sometimes we would just stay in Mesa or we would just come back to Thatcher for some fun!
